Synthetic Defined Media (SDM) is a type of growth media that is formulated to provide cells or tissues with the nutrients they need to thrive. This media is used in research labs to study the effects of various chemicals on cells. SDM allows for more control over the environment in which cells are grown, and as a result, can provide insights that would be otherwise difficult to obtain.

LB Agar, Miller, also referred to as Luria-Bertani Agar, is a widely used medium in molecular biology applications for maintaining and propagating E. coli. LB Agar, Miller contains twice the amount of sodium chloride as that of the Lennox formulation which allows for the researcher to be selective of the salt content when working with a specific strain. MOLTOX offers a wide variety of LB Agar, Miller plates with the addition of several different types and concentrations of antibiotics to provide a more selective medium for recombinant cells with a specific antibiotic resistance. Used as an industry standard for maintaining and cultivating recombinant strains of E. coli and for the preparation of plasmid DNA, MOLTOX offers a large selection of LB Agars and Broths with plenty of added antibiotics to choose from for a more selective media. Thyroglobulin is a 660 kDa dimeric pre-protein with multiple glycosylation sites. It is produced by and processed within the thyroid gland to produce the hormone thyroxine and triiodothyronine. Prior to forming dimers, thyroglobulin monomers undergo conformational maturation in the endoplasmic reticulation. The vast majority of follicular carcinomas of the thyroid will give positive immunoreactivity for anti-thyroglobulin even though sometimes only focally. Poorly differentiated carcinomas of the thyroid are frequently anti-thyroglobulin negative. Adenocarcinomas of other-than-thyroid origin do not react with this antibody. This antibody is useful in identification of thyroid carcinoma of the papillary and follicular types. Presence of thyroglobulin in metastatic lesions establishes the thyroid origin of tumor. CD9 is a type IV transmembrane glycoprotein with four transmembrane domains. CD9 on pre-B cells may play a role in cell-cell adhesion. In addition, CD9 may play a role in signal transduction mediated by interaction with low molecular weight GTP binding proteins. CD9 is expressed on early B cells, eosinophils, basophils and activated T cells and is a major component of the platelet cell surface. It is also expressed on most non-T acute lymphoblastic leukemia cells and on some acute myeloid and chronic lymphoid leukemia.Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. CF Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability.
