Cell Biolabs' Lipid Quantification Kit (Colorimetric) uses a sulfo-phospho-vanillin system to quantify unsaturated fatty acids in a convenient 96-well microplate reader. Supernatants from plasma or serum may be tested directly after centrifugation. Lipids from cells or tissues should be extracted first before quantification. The kit includes sufficient reagents for 100 assays.
