Advanced Biomatrix HyStem Version 2.0 Thiol-Modified Hyaluronan Hydrogel Kit, 7.5 mL
HyStem contains thiolated hyaluronic acid for easy 3D cell culture. HyStem version 2.0 is reconstituted with a buffered 1X PBS. The resulting components will also result in a pH neutral isotonic salt hydrogel. The ending pH, osmo, and rheological properties are the same from Version 1.0 to Version 2.0. HyStem hydrogels are xeno-free and completely customizable. The hydrogel is formed when the crosslinking agent, Extralink-Lite (PEGDA) is added to a mixture of Glycosil (thiol-modified hyaluronan). Recommended for applications requiring specific attachment factor optimization as well as non-adherent cell culture, cellular applications. Extracellular matrix proteins can be mixed into the hydrogel and incorporated non-covalently before gelation. The HyStem Hydrogel Kits are optimal for culturing stem cells whose natural environment is rich in hyaluronic acid (HA).

BriClone is an additive for the cloning medium used in the post-fusion stages of hybridoma cell cloning. BriClone has been specifically developed by the NICB's dedicated team to overcome common problems in the post-fusion period such as batch-to-batch variation of feeder cells, and competition between feeder cells and freshly fused hybridomas for nutrients in the culture medium. To use BriClone, add to hybridoma culture media as a 5% (v/v) supplement. BriClone is designed for use in the post-fusion stages of hybridoma production and when cloning hybridoma cell lines under conditions of limiting dilution. BriClone, when added to culture medium eliminates the need for feeder cells in these types of cultures.

Chick Embryo Extract, Ultrafiltrate is used as a supplement in some growth media formulations. It is prepared by blending 11-14 day old chick embryos in a balanced salt solution (3X embryo volume). The solution undergoes centrifugation to remove larger particles and debris. The supernatant is subjected to an ultrafiltration step with a 10kD MW cutoff to remove protein from the solution, producing a clear, amber liquid. This liquid is sterile-filtered.
