Chloroxylenol is a broad-spectrum antibacterial agent effective against bacteria, algae, fungi, and viruses. It inhibits the viability, proliferation, migration, invasion, and sphere formation, and induces apoptosis in HCT116 and SW480 cells by inhibiting the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway.
- Inhibits nuclear translocation of β-catenin in HCT116 and SW480 cells
- Inhibits the growth of CRC organoids
- Decreases mRNA levels of Axin2, Survivin, and LGR5 in HCT116 and SW480 CRC cells
- Inhibits tumor growth in a MC38 cell xenograft model
