Non-stirring Heating Mantles

Regulating the heat on these multiposition extraction mantles is simple using the built-in solid-state electronic controls. The units accept round-bottom flasks ranging from 100 to 1000 mL. Select an extraction heater depending on the size of your flask. Extraction heaters feature an independent heater per mantle, allowing liquids with different boiling points to be heated alongside each other. Each heater has its own control dial and on/off indicator light, and can reach up to a maximum element temperature of 450C (842F). The control panel is safely separated from the heating elements by a well-ventilated air space. A quartz heating element is housed in a thermally insulated cartridge for easy replacement, extending the life of the heater. Powder-coated aluminum surfaces and polypropylene top cover ensure good chemical resistance and easy cleanup.

This mantle helps prevent vapor condensation in the upper half of a flask during distillation of high-boiling materials. The tops are designed for use with Series M, TM, or STM mantles. They protect the flask, the solutions, and the laboratory from drafts, which would disturb the reflux ration during fractionation, from flying glass of flask implosions in high vacuum distillations, from falling objects; and, from thermal strain between top and lower half of flask during high-temperature operations. With a glass-fabric construction and laced-side opening, the elliptical hole accomodates 1-, 2-, and 3-neck flasks.All 115 volt units are CSA certified.

These multiposition extraction heaters let you run several projects simultaneously by using either two or six individually controlled heating mantles. Each mantle has an independent heater with control dial, on/off switch, and indicator light, and operates to a maximum element temperature of 800C. A quartz heating element is housed in a thermally insulated cartridge for easy replacement, extending the life of the heater. Heaters are supplied with back-mounted brackets to hold support rods up to 1/2" (12.7 mm) in diameter. The lower part of the unit containing the control equipment is safely separated from the upper heating elelments by a well-ventilated air space. Units are double fused on the supply line and neutral for extra safety. Power cord is NOT included. Unit must be hard-wired.
