Jugs

Jugs are a suitable storage solution when a large quantity of liquid, solid or powder product needs to be stored or transported. Jugs have a generally wide body, narrow mouth and built-in handle design, which allows for safe pouring. Jugs are available in varying materials, including amber glass, clear glass, plastic-coated glass and plastic. Amber glass jugs offer excellent protection for UV-sensitive contents, while clear glass allows for maximum visibility of a jugs’ contents. If broken, a plastisol coating keeps the jug’s contents contained long enough to allow for disposal. Plastic jugs, which are impact resistant, provide a means of handling corrosive liquids when used in conjunction with proper safety precautions and have excellent chemical resistance.

These cell strainers are ideal for detaching, isolating and straining cells from clusters and tissues. Their built in compatibility with 12×75mm culture tubes and FACS tubes makes them especially useful for pre-sorting and preparing samples for Flourescence-activated Cell Sorting (FACS). Typically a 35µm porous mesh is used to obtain a single-cell suspension and to prevent clogging in FACS instrumentation.
