This Super-T™ grade ( Premium ), PEEK tubing is extruded from virgin PEEK ( Victrex ) material without adding any additives. The broken yellow stripes are added only to the outside of the tubing, leaving the interior all natural PEEK which eliminates leachables due to color. The internal and outer dimensional tolerances of this tubing is +/- 0.025mm. Color Code: Blue, Stripes for 0.010" ( 0.25mm ) ID. Pressure rating: 5600 psi.

These Flexible, Coiled PEEK Tubes will expand and contract which will save space in places such as behind an instrument and provide a Pulse Dampener Effect for Parabolic Flow Fluids which will result in a quieter base line and also reduce band broadening due to excess tubing lengths. Inlet liners for split injection have mixing chambers with tortuous flow paths to allow full vaporization of the sample. Deactivating the surface of these liners prevents active compounds from degrading. Packing the liner with wool will trap non-volatile residue and prevent column contamination when analyzing dirty samples. Inlet liners for splitless injection are generally designed as straight tubes, although new designs such as the gooseneck will help contain the sample in the injector. PEEK tubing has the strength required to withstand continuous use at HPLC pressure without swelling or bursting, and is not affected by halide salts, high strength buffers, or other aggressive mobile phases that corrode stainless steel. The polymer surface will not leach metal ions into the eluent or extract metal-sensitive components from the sample. Note however that dichloromethane, THF, and DMSO may cause swelling in PEEK, and concentrated nitric and sulphuric acid will attack PEEK.
