“Mini” sized, less than 3.5″ wide Adjustable speed control, 100 to 1500rpm Effectively mixes volumes up to 1.5L With a square footprint of under 5 inches, the Alkali Scientific™ S1005 MiniMag™ is the most compact stirrer in the Alkali line. Despite its modest dimensions, the 3.4 inch square work surface accepts a wide variety of beakers, flasks, bottles and other laboratory vessels for stirring volumes as large as 1.5 liters. The Magnetic Stirrer speed is continuously adjustable from 100 to 1500rpm. For temperature sensitive samples, the MiniMag is incubator and cold-room safe for use from +4°C to +45°C.

EMS hotplates, stirrers and hotplate-stirrers feature an exceptionally durable, chemical resistant, white ceramic work surface. Their space-efficient design (7 x 10.5" footprint), makes them ideal for use on crowded benchtops and inside bio-hoods.
Advanced microprocessor controls allow quick, precise adjustment of speed and temperature. The large, backlit LCD display provides constant visualization of the speed and temperature while a safety LED indicates when the top plate is above 50 degree C. In addition, an optional probe is available for applications that require precise temperature contol. When connected, the probe provides direct feedback to the microprocessor, which continuously adjusts and maintains the selected temperature in the sample within ± 0.5 degree C.

These multiposition stirrers have four user-friendly operating modes that allow the selection of specific rows and columns, individual stirring of each position, or simultaneous stirring of all positions. Units are easy to read with digital VFD control monitors and LED operating lamps. The advanced microprocessor PID controls accurately control stirring speed. Top plates are stainless steel for excellent chemical resistance. Brushless DC motors are quiet and durable. Gradual start-up, built in thermal shutdown, and current limit protection device provide user safety.

The revolutionary single-position MagStir Genie provides low to high speed stirring and editable memory profiles. MagStir Genie may be used with any regular flask/beaker or spinner flask and a maximum sample weight of 5.0 kg. Speed range is 10-1800 RPM including reverse and interval stirring for applications ranging from gentle stirring for cell culture to aggressive mixing for viscous polymers.
There are three power levels. Low-profile magnetic stirrer uses microprocessor control for precise and reproducible operation without heat build-up from internal friction. Manual mode provides stir, stir reverse, and time functions. Profiles mode allows users to quickly program speed, ramp rate, stir direction, time (including pause), and power level in up to 9 distinct steps. Up to 4 stirring profiles can be saved. Automatic mode recalls and executes one of up to 4 user-defined profiles.

The soft-start/stop feature provides slow acceleration and deceleration of the stirrer, avoiding excessive turbulence in the culture media and eliminating cell damage. Use the interval stirring mode during the attachment phase to further reduce agitation of the media or when culturing particularly fragile cells. The stirrers create virtually no heat making them suitable for use in both incubators and cold rooms. The culture vessels incorporate a unique base design which, together with the bulb-ended stirrer, ensures that the cells are lifted into suspension at the lowest possible speeds.
