This gene encodes coagulation factor III a cell surface glycoprotein that initiates the blood coagulation cascade by acting as a high-affinity receptor for coagulation factor VII Their complex triggers a catalytic event that activates protease cascades through limited proteolysis Unlike other coagulation cofactors which circulate as inactive precursors this factor is fully functional upon cell surface expression such as on monocytes It contains three distinct domains extracellular transmembrane and cytoplasmic Expression is induced in platelets and monocytes under procoagulatory and proinflammatory stimuli It plays a major role in HIV-associated coagulopathy and is linked to COVID-19 severity and mortality via platelet-dependent monocyte expression This protein is unique in the coagulation pathway as no congenital deficiency has been reported Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms

Rat Coagulation Factor X ELISA Kit - Rat Coagulation Factor X ELISA Kit from Innovative Research is intended for the quantitative determination of Rat Coagulation Factor X in biofluid samples, such as plasma. This is a sandwich ELISA in strip well format with reagents for up to 96 tests . F10 present in samples reacts with an anti-Rat F10 capture antibody coated and dried on a microtiter plate. After appropriate washing steps, an anti-F10 detection antibody conjugated to biotin binds to the captured analyte. Excess antibody is washed away and bound antibody is then reacted with avidin conjugated to horseradish peroxidase. TMB substrate is used for color development at 450nm. Color development is directly proportional to the concentration of active F10 in the samples. A standard calibration curve is prepared along with the samples to be measured using dilutions of Rat F10. For RUO
