Valve, Chem-Vac™, Hi-Vac, Low Hold Up, 0-4mm, Viton O-Ring. Similar to CG-927 CHEM-VAC™ valve but with the arms bent to minimize hold up of fluids. Valve has TFE plug with three o-rings, the tip o-ring making the primary seal on the precision formed tapered seat. O-rings on the non-rotating shaft form an excellent dynamic seal between the TFE plug and glass barrel. Replacement part for CG1226 series desiccators. The supplied polypropylene stopcock has a PTFE plug which turns easily, allowing a slow, gentle entrance of air to prevent unnecessary turbulence and crucible damage. Stopcock port accepts 1/4” I.D. tubing.

Solid glass high vacuum stopcock with the Chemglass constant pressure retention device. This retaining system incorporates a glass plug having an extended snelling which accepts a stainless steel spring and clip. The spring keeps constant tension on the plug at all times and is easily removed and attached. Similar to CG-458, but with two parallel oblique bores. Plug is precision ground and hand-lapped with corresponding numbers on the barrel and plug. Each stopcock is supplied complete with a stainless steel spring and clip. Replacement retention kit consists of one spring and clip for the plug size listed.
