BeadBug 6 utilizes a three dimensional shaking motion to disrupt samples. This motion, when combined with beads of the appropriate size and material, causes high velocity impacts with the sample and is an extremely fast and efficient method for releasing cellular contents, including nucleic acids and proteins. Many different sample types, from cells in culture to organ tissues and bone can be homogenized in the BeadBug 6, most within 45 seconds. Programming the unit is very simple – just set the speed, time, number of cycles and pause between cycles, then press start. For convenience, the last programmed parameters remain in memory for repeated runs. Sealed tubes prevent cross contamination in the BeadBug 6. Samples are simply loaded into the tubes along with the beads and placed in the unit for processing. Cell tissue and pellets are completely homogenized within seconds by means of high-speed vortexing action. Order pestles and tubes separately. The replacement rubber adapter, model 44468-26, is the adapter only, and is only compatible with the 44468-25 pestle mixer. This adapter atteches the motorized mixer to the pestle connector.

The BeadBlaster 24 completely lyses, grinds and homogenizes a broad variety of biological samples. Even the most difficult and resistant samples are fully homogenized, often in 35 seconds or less.
The stainless steel tube carrier subjects up to 24 samples to an optimized, high speed, 3D motion, producing high energy impacts between the samples and micro-beads to release cellular contents. After homogenization, samples can be centrifuged and the supernatant collected for further processing.
Operating parameters for the BeadBlaster 24 are set and displayed digitally. To protect fragile, heat sensitive samples, the unit can be programmed to operate in shortened consecutive cycles with a rest period in between. Up to 50 such programs can be stored in memory and recalled for future use. A transparent lid allows for visualization of samples, and features a mechanical lid lock that prevents opening when the BeadBlaster is in operation.

BeadBug 6 is a powerful benchtop homogenizer for performing cell lysis, tissue grinding and sample homogenizing. Easy to use, simply place sample and disruption beads into a standard 2.0ml screw cap micro-tube and insert tube in holder. BeadBug will process up to six samples at one time with complete homogenizing within a few minutes or less. Heavy duty mixing chamber produces a sample disruption using hardened glass or zirconium beads.
Compact unit has a small footprint of 7 x 8 Inches for convenient use on crowded benchtops.

Unique BeadBeater provides a safe and efficient method for disrupting cell and tissue samples. Designed for sample quantities up to 100 g (wet weight) in 200 ml of medium. Ideal for grinding and homogenizing cells and difficult to digest samples. Unit features a Teflon rotor that creates a shearing action using minute glass beads. Cells can be 90% disrupted in less than three minutes.
Supplied complete with 350 ml polycarbonate chamber, one pound of glass beads (1.0 mm), motor base, ice-water jacket and instructions.
Optional small chambers are available for use with reduced sample volumes. Chambers have a working volume of 15ml and 50ml and a maximum sample size of 7g and 12g respectively.
