Electron Microscopy Sciences EUKITT 4400 LB Resin 500 ML
EUKITT 4400 LB is a single-component resin that polymerizes under UV light was specially developed for thin ground sectioning technology. It completely passes through hard and soft tissue and is used for embedding and preparing of sections for medical and technical applications. It is characterized by crystal-clear optics with a favorable refractive index, good fluidity and low shrinkage.
The hardening of the embedding medium is done by UV light of a wavelength of 365 nm with 2 x 9 W. The exposure takes place from two sides. During the exposure within the given time (see instruction manual/operating instructions) temperatures of 50°C will not be exceeded.
Fast staining is possible with all known methods, and with the same high quality.
EUKITT EMS 4400 LB does not contain monomers, therefore the vapour pressure is very low. As a consequence the user is not bothered by intense, toxic smell.

CytoSeal 60 and 280 are toluene-based mounting mediumformulated from acrylic resins that will not crack or discolor with age. An antioxidant has been added to the formulation to inhibit fading or yellowing of stained specimens. It will not become brittle and crack, nor will it discolor or yellow with age. CytoSeal can be dissolved in toluene or xylene. Low-viscosity medium dries quickly and spreads evenly and rapidily virtually eliminating air bubbles.

This aqueous mounting medium made with glycerol is for preserving fluorescence of tissue and cell smears. It is excellent for preserving thick sections that can not be mounted with mounting medium or fresh frozen tissues containing lipids, e.g. brain tissue.
This mounting medium is also useful for immunofluorescence. This unique formula prevents rapid photobleaching of FITC, Texas Red, AMCA, Cy dyes, Alexa fluoro 488, Alexa fluoro 594, Green fluorescent protein (GFP), tetramethyly rhodamine and Redox. The fluorescence is retained during prolonged storage at 4 degree C in the dark. This medium does not contain phenylenediamine, which destroys immunofluorescence of Cy dyes.
Not recommended for phycoethyrin (PE), phycocyanin (PC) and allophycocyanin (APC).
Reagent: Ready to use mounting medium for IHC and immunofluorescence (IF).
Refractive Index: 1.472. Storage at temperature of 2-8 degree C is recommended. Protect from light.

Citifluor mounting medium for immunofluorescence is designed to reduce the fading of the fluorescence of dyes used for labeling biological specimens. In the technique of fluorescence microscopy, the fluorescence is stimulated by high intensity UV and/or visible light. Absorption of the light populates an excited state of the dye (usually a singlet state) and this leads to fluorescence. However, the excited state of the dye may undergo chemical reaction, which leads to destruction as evidenced by the fading of the fluorescence and consequent loss of the image. Mountant solution based on Mowiol 4-88, glycerol, water and tris-amine buffer.

Electron Microscopy Sciences Acrytol Mounting Medium 16 OZ
Acrytol is a rapid-drying mounting medium which enables slides to be screened immediately. It has a low viscosity, allowing the medium to flow easily. It also prevents air bubbles from becoming trapped. Acrytol contains an antioxidant to inhibit stain fading and prevent the formulation of annual rings. A thin coating of Acrytol is all that is needed to adhere a coverglass to a microscope slide.
