Vector Laboratories ImmPACT DAB HRP Substrate Kit produces a dark brown reaction product that is crisper and 3-4 times more sensitive than the original Vector DAB substrate kit. It can be used for both manual and automated staining methods. The ImmPACT DAB working solution is stable for at least five days at room temperature and at least two weeks when stored at 4 degrees C. This product consists of a concentrated stock solution of highly purified DAB and 120 ml of diluent and can be used for IHC and on blots. Vector Laboratories horseradish peroxidase (HRP) substrate kits include options that are cost-effective (e.g. standard DAB), sensitive (e.g. ImmPACT DAB) and convenient (ImmPACT DAB EqV). The BioFX™ one component 3,3’,5,5’-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) substrate is supplied in a ready-to-use solution. Peroxidase reacts with the TMB substrate solution to produce a soluble blue reaction product that can be read at 370 nm or 620-650 nm for ELISA applications. Stop solutions can be added to prevent further color development and reading the absorbance values at the desired wavelengths.

This CytoSoft product, Catalog Number 5144, has an elastic modulus of approximately 32 kPa in a standard flat-bottom 6-well plate. The thickness of the silicone gel is uniform with a ~0.5 mm thick layer of silicone in each well that is fully compatible with mammalian cell cultures. The plates are packaged individually, sterilized using irradiation and provided with 5 plates per package. The rigidity of the substrate to which cells adhere can have a profound effect on cell morphology and gene expression.The silicone substrates of CytoSoft products are optically clear and have a low auto-florescence. The layer of silicone in each well is firmly bonded to the bottom of the well. Unlike hydrogels (such as polyacrylamide gels), silicone gels are not susceptible to hydrolysis, do not dry nor swell, are resilient and resistant to tearing or cracking, and their elastic moduli (rigidities) remain nearly unchanged during extended storage periods.
