Our patented vial and cap design incorporates pressure-relief features which guarantee safe operation with the high pressure typically developed during thermostatting. Ordinary vials and caps without these safety features may burst. All of our headspace vials have a greater wall thickness and round base which enables them to withstand pressure up to 60 psig. Low-volume sampling can be achieved by using a 6 mL vial and vial adapter. All PerkinElmer headspace vials are manufactured to specific tolerances that are guaranteed for fit and performance. Cap, White, Solid Top, 15-425, with 0.60" PP/PTFE/Silicone SURE-LINK Septa. These caps, made of polypropylene, are ideal for use with volatile solvents, sensitive compounds, and biological media. The SURE-LINK process welds each cap with a Polypropylene/PTFE/Silicone liner bonded to the cap. This process allows the cap to maintain seal through multiple autoclaving operations or cleaning procedures without the use of adhesives. Caps are ideal for storage of samples for prolonged periods of time. They are autoclavable at 121C.
