Chickens were immunized with highly purified green-fluorescent protein (GFP) isolated directly from Aequorea victoria. Eggs were collected. Antibodies were immunoaffinity purified using the native GFP immobilized on a solid phase. This antibody reacts with GFP as determined by IEP and ELISA techniques. It is suitable for blotting and ELISA applications. This antibody may recognize variants of recombinant Aequorea green-fluorescent protein. Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator.
