Oasis WAX weak anion-exchange SPE chemistry is designed for scientists searching for a fast, simple and highly selective method for sample preparation and cleanup. Oasis WAX is a polymeric reversed-phase, weak ion exchange mixed-mode sorbent that allows for the retention and release of strong acidic compounds (e.g. phosphonates). The elution solvent is MS friendly and the sorbent is completely water wettable.

The Oasis WAX cartridges for Symbiosis/Prospekt-2 systems are designed for rugged, reproducible, and ultra-fast on-line SPE in the Spark Holland Symbiosis and Prospekt-2 systems. Each cartridge contains 10.4 mg of Oasis WAX, a polymeric reversed-phase, weak anion exchange mixed-mode sorbent that has been optimized for fast, simple, and highly selective sample preparation of strong acidic compounds. Each 800-series tray contains 96 cartridges and can be directly loaded into the Automatic Cartridge Exchange (ACE) or the ACE Feeder units of the Symbiosis/Prospekt-2 systems without the stainless steel tray holder/adaptor. The 6 cc Oasis MCX cartridges contain the Oasis MCX, which is a novel, mixed-mode polymeric sorbent that has been optimized to achieve higher selectivity and sensitivity for extracting basic compounds with cation-exchange groups. Since the Oasis MCX sorbent is water wettable, it maintains its capability for higher retention and excellent recoveries even if the sorbent runs dry, which means there is no need to take extraordinary steps to keep the sorbent beds from drying out during the critical steps prior to sample loading. The 60 µm particle size is recommended when working with viscous samples. These syringe-barrel-type cartridges are designed for use with vacuum manifolds and automated SPE instruments.
