TSA with 5% sheep blood is useful for the isolation and determination of hemolytic reactions of staphylococcus sp., steptococcus sp. and other pathogenic microorganisms found in the upper lower respiratory tract, blood, cerebrospinal fluid, minor lesions and other clinical specimens.
