Microtubes
Single-use containers designed to hold microliter to milliliter quantities of liquid. Products may be sterile/non-sterile, come with or without a variety of caps (screw, tether, snap), and may be suitable for use in microcentrifuges.
High quality standard snap cap microtubes, or microcentrifuge tubes, are essential for the safe processing of low to medium sized sample volume applications in clinical chemistry, biochemistry and molecular biology. Ideal for protein research, mass spectrometry, protein array, sample preparation, microcentrifugation and sample storage, they are available in a variety of colours, including amber and black for light sensitive samples.
The snap cap provides a safe, liquid-tight seal and some flat top caps include a needle insertion spot. Some microtubes are also available with additional safety lock snap caps to minimise sample loss during the centrifugation process and to provide added security when working with samples that are radioactive or which pose a biohazard.

Available as sterile or non-sterile, polypropylene microtubes can also feature low binding properties to reduce protein and nucleic acid loss and hence better sample recovery.

The Beckman Coulter Ultra-Clear Centrifuge Tubes are 0.5mL polypropylene conical tubes designed for high speed centrifugation. They feature a graduated scale in mL to allow accurate volume measurement and an extra-thick tube wall for increased strength and rigidity. The tubes have a flat top and uniform tip shape to ensure consistent pellet formation. Their clear polypropylene construction allows easy sample visibility. The tubes can withstand RCF up to 30,000 x g and autoclaving at 121°C for 20 minutes. They come sterile and individually wrapped in packs of 500.

The disposable 2 mL microcentrifuge tubes are autoclavable, nonsterile, and graduated tubes that ensure easy and convenient sample measurement. This product also have flat caps and frosted areas on the sides that allows users easy sample identification and labeling. The caps can be opened with no difficulty, but will remain tightly closed during the process of centrifuging. Syringes can also penetrate the caps. This product is sold in the natural color.
