Senkyunolide A is a phthalide with anticancer activity, acting as an anti-tumor cell proliferation agent. It offers neuroprotective effects by decreasing protein phosphatase PP2A and α-synuclein phosphorylation, and inhibits osteoarthritis by modulating the NLRP3 signaling pathway. Furthermore, it suppresses the expression of CD137, a biomarker for atherosclerosis.
- Inhibits proliferation of HT-29 and CCD-18Co cells.
- Decreases high expression of CD137 in TNF-α treated MAECs cells.
- Enhances cell viability and reduces apoptosis in PC12 cells.
- Stimulates cell proliferation and curbs apoptosis in IL-1β-treated chondrocytes.
- Inhibits cell inflammation by blocking the NLRP3 signaling pathway.
- Demonstrates improvement in mouse models of osteoarthritis, alleviating articular cartilage destruction.
