SmartBlock™ is a BSA-free, peptide-based blocker for saturating free binding sites on plastic surfaces or other protein binding surfaces, removing background and preventing unwanted binding. This reagent was produced by chemically modifying peptides in a specific process that resulted in a peptide solution with strong blocking characteristics. SmartBlock™ has high lot-to-lot consistency that had previously only been obtained by synthetic blockers. For many assays, SmartBlock™ is an economical and reliable alternative to BSA-containing solutions. Problems caused by BSA within blockers, such as BSA-interactions and cross reactivities, can be eliminated by using SmartBlock™.

Non-isotopic, luminol-based chemiluminescent substrate designed for the rapid and sensitive detection of peroxidase labeled-conjugates. It provides increased sensitivity over chromogenic substrates in both blotting and ELISA applications. In blotting applications, permanent results are recorded on X-ray film. The use of LumiGLO allows for multiple stripping and reprobing of blots. In ELISA, positive reactions are read and rapidly detected using a luminometer. LumiGLO provides a dynamic range that is linear for a longer period of time than other chemiluminescent substrates. 2-Component format, simply mix and use. Safe to use: non-hazardous.

Ideal dye for the visualization and identification of proteins on polyacrylamide gels because it differentiates between highly acidic proteins which stain blue and less acidic proteins which stain pink. Staining of Ca²+-binding proteins in muscle extracts was 50 to 100% more intense than obtained with Coomassie blue staining. When employed on polyacrylamide gels, the intensity of Stains-All can be increased by the addition of silver nitrate.
